My dad used to surf growing up and held on to his "Mako" surfboard for many years. Over the years it made it's home leaning up against the shed till one day my dad said he was going to sell it at a garage sale. Quickly I jumped into selfish mode and claimed the board hoping to preserve it's place in our family. Shortly thereafter I moved to Lakeland, FL into a residence consisting of only one room. This brought to surface the fact the the surfboard, in its present condition, would not be able to move in.
Due to my excessive zeal for creativity in arts and crafts, I realized that the only thing to do was cut the surfboard in half and make it into something (I think King Solomon would have done the same thing). If surfboards have waistlines, that's about where I cut it and you can see the pieces above (cutting done at the Fox).
